Counseling for Adolescence

Adolescence is a time of becoming—of questioning, stretching, and discovering who you are in a world that often wants to define that for you. It’s a tender, turbulent season where everything feels heightened: emotions, relationships, identity, and pressure. For many teens, it’s also the first time they begin to carry big feelings alone.

I offer counseling for adolescents that creates a space where they can exhale—where they don’t have to perform, protect their parents, or explain themselves away. Just a space to be real.

Whether your teen is navigating anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, identity questions, friendship dynamics, family transitions, or simply trying to make sense of all they feel, therapy can help them build tools for resilience, emotional clarity, and deeper self-trust.

My approach is warm, relational, and grounded in respect. I don’t treat teens like problems to be fixed or behaviors to be managed—I listen for the story underneath the struggle. I help them find words for what they’re feeling and safety in expressing it, so they can begin to heal and grow from the inside out.

I also understand that parenting a teenager can bring its own heartache, fear, and uncertainty. When appropriate, I’ll collaborate with you as the parent to ensure your teen feels supported without feeling exposed—honoring their autonomy while also honoring your role in their life.
